Precise location study of a multi-use kiosk project for the City of Tijuana, Baja California
The main points from the ULI report that the kiosks can help realize are:
1] Help better streetscape appearance which is currently perceived as dirty and disorganized due to the current form of informal commerce establishments, by providing alternative ways of informal commerce to operate without causing blight or oversaturation of the streets.
2] The kiosks can help visitors and citizens wayfind through the Centro and Zona Rio areas which is also a goal proposed in the ULI TAP report.
3] The kiosks can help guide tourism to/from the downtown revitalization area and to/from the Zona Rio hotels and gastronomic destinations.

The study was conducted with algorithmic, auto-catalytic, cluster scripting tools that
generated clear and precise proposal of market probabilities for optimal placement
success of newsstand/commerce modules in the densest parts of The City of Tijuana,
Valuation is focused in areas of high pedestrian and vehicular traffic, successful
destination/transitional businesses, rehabilitated zones, and safe zones.
The study has taken into account the human notion and perception of experience.
Four areas were studied as part of this first phase: 1] Zona Centro, 2] Zona Rio,
3] Zona Rio Este and 4] Zona Boulevard Agua Caliente
1] Zona Centro – 30 Optimal locations
2] Zona Rio – 26 Optimal locations
3] Zona Rio Este – 15 Optimal Location
4] Zona Boulevard Agua Caliente – 15 Optimal Location
Total Locations in all four areas of study: 86
The San Ysidro Kiosk is a transportable vehicle that becomes a full retail store kiosk when set in it's place
Urban Parasol is an innovative urban structure that offers sustainable solutions for Urban Spaces
The Facade Improvement Program for The City of Tijuana is a current project for the municipality.
