Project Description
The Tijuana Innovadora Fabrication & Installation project was an art project designed by Cardinal 5 and Developed and fabricated by Amorphica

Project Log
For the Tijuana Innovadora Festival in 2012, we fabricated an art installation designed by Cardinal 5, a collective of artists from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. This process was managed and developed to incorporate a large amount of metal tubing to be suspended from an existing bridge, the entrance door to Mexico in the Tijuana border, the bridge was originally designed by Felix Candela. The negotiation was to include the re-assigning of the metal in use: we were to own it to eventually be put to use in a different [public] construction. Part of the metal is now an acoustical ceiling structure at a Lecture Hall in Universidad Iberoamericana, designed and built by us.
