Facade Improvement Program – Downtown Tijuana
City of Tijuana
Tijuana, Baja California
The Facade Improvement Program for The City of Tijuana is being done as part of the urban regeneration for downtown. In collaboration with Carlos Graizbord between 2012 and 2013, and for the City of Tijuana in 2014.
The City of Tijuana is undergoing several changes in its downtown. Many developers have made the effort to revitalize very little by very little. The municipal government is well aware that this revamp must be an effort between public and private sectors in order to start making a difference in the zone.
Between 2012-13 Carlos Graizbord joined Amorphica in a collaboration effort to begin a study of the facades in the downtown area of the city. The grid is not as extense thus we were able to take on the most important streets in the heart of “le centro”. Here are some images of this outcome.
Currently, we are working with the current municipal government of the city of Tijuana to take on a specific street to begin this endeavor. We will have more information and images as this project progresses.
