The integration of family in this particular scenario gave natural way for an ample and open space plan that would connect all four levels of the house. Views ranging from north-west to south west invoked great possibilities for direction in design. Poking, elasticity, inward motions and integrations of circulation spaces are still molding this space.
A single-family residence located on a hill overlooking Playas de Tijuana, a community with four borders including that of the United States and the Pacific Ocean. The site has an impressive view and because of its location above the ocean, it has a very forceful cold air path coming from the west.

The program is composed of a house which would embrace the family communion as an integral part of the design. The house included a studio space for the father hovering above the family play room where the two girls would be. Both of these spaces would be able to be seen and perceived by the whole public part of the house. Mother can see the girls and perceive where father is.

At this stage the house is going through a variety of changes, central circulation becomes less important than physical juxtapositions of space. Views, wind, sun, and all kinds of factors are begetting space. Program is intact, modulation along with visceral activities are promoting a community lifestyle in a single-family residence.
March 2006
Emerging spaces generated by the pragmatic: air circulation, views, sun direction, dynamic living matrix and other factors. The understanding of the process as a gaive and take, as a supply and demand and compromise to sacrifice is at this moment in progress.

April 2006

There is no better manner of discovery than that of the physical. It is at this stage of the game that mechanical problems are being solved: connections, distortions of program, functionality per clients modifications and the realization of understanding their own space.
