As experience designers we are motivated by the exploration of a broader set of questions when creating media solutions. Our quest is to uncover deeper structures and constructs based on natural systems, human interaction with the world and each other, and visionary technology. We wish to expand the language of graphic design and increase the communications bandwidth of our creations in ways that result in rich emotional and inspirational environments for our participants.

Special Thanks to all Experience Design AIGA Members who contributed, you know who you are.

This inquiry into defining experience design proposes to augment our skill sets by taking a multidisciplinary approach. We embrace diverse viewpoints and techniques afforded by disciplines such as natural science, humanities, psychology, architecture, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and fine art. Our goal is to inspire practitioners of traditional graphic design to innovate and lead as part of the larger AIGA community. We fearlessly propose a more holistic aesthetic that our potential clients can readily understand and assimilate to evolve corporate communications in ways that deepen the relationships with their customers.
